Amit Bhalla was born and brought up in Ludhiana, Punjab. He belongs to a middle-class family. He did his schooling from Vishvakarma Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana. He was receiving graduation (B.COM. (Bachelor of Commerce)) from Arya College, Ludhiana but he had to drop out because of financial issues but later he completed B.A from the same college with the money his teachers and friends contributed for him.
