Career
Ishaan Khattar‘s career as an actor began with the film named Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! in 2005. In which he worked as a child artist in the role of Ishaan. This movie also starred his half-brother Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.
Later in 2017, he played the role of a drug dealer, Amir in drama film Beyond the Clouds directed by Majid Majidi. For this movie, he won the Best Actor award at the 5th International Bosphorous Film Festival and the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. In 2016, He has worked as a cameo and assistant director to Abhishek Chaubey in his film Udta Punjab. He worked again as an assistant director to Danish Renzu on the independent film Half Widow in 2017.
He gained loads of recognition after his performance in Shashank Khaitan’s romantic film Dhadak which is a remake of Marathi film Sairat. In this movie, he played the lead role of Madhukar Bagla. He is recently starred in the British miniseries named A suitable boy where he played the role of Maan Kapoor. This series is based on Mira Nair’s adaptation of Vikram Seth’s novel A Suitable Boy.
